Our client, one of the UK’s leading mutual financial services organisations, is seeking to appoint an exceptional Strategy & Transformation Director to partner with the Chief Executive Officer in delivering an ambitious programme of strategic growth and organisational transformation.
Joining the Executive Team, you will play a pivotal role in translating this ambition into tangible outcomes. Operating across the organisation, you will bring together the overall transformation agenda, connect strategy with execution and ensure momentum is maintained across a complex programme of change.
This is not a traditional programme or portfolio management role. You will have previously operated at executive level, or within a similarly broad strategic leadership role, with a demonstrable track record of leading enterprise-wide transformation within retail financial services. You will understand the complexities of delivering major organisational change, with the ability to see the bigger picture whilst being prepared to get into the detail when required.
You will bring a holistic view of the organisation, identifying connections, dependencies and barriers to delivery, with the ability to cut through complexity and bring clarity to what needs to happen next. Credible and confident at Executive and Board level, you will be comfortable constructively challenging senior colleagues, holding people to account and providing an objective view of progress against the organisation’s strategic ambitions.
Highly collaborative, straightforward and solutions-focused, you will combine strong strategic judgement with a hands-on, can-do approach. You will build relationships quickly, ask the right questions and take responsibility for helping resolve problems rather than simply identifying them.
Above all, you will have successfully navigated significant transformation before and bring the experience, judgement and energy required to help the organisation deliver meaningful and lasting change for its members, customers and colleagues.
The role will operate on a hybrid basis, with an expectation of spending approximately two to three days each week at the organisation’s head office in South Wales.
