Ruth founded Taylor Harrison in 1999 following a successful career as the Director of Executive Search for an independent human resources consultancy firm. Determined to create a highly responsive, specialist search practice serving the risk management, compliance, audit and actuarial functions, she soon recognised the need for a complementary interim management product.

Sue spent ten years within senior level recruitment across a number of industry sectors before joining Taylor Harrison in 2001. Since then, she has gained a wealth of experience of hiring risk management, compliance and audit professionals, with a particular interest in the field of risk analytics, where she has made a number of notable placements in recent years.
Sue is renowned among clients and candidates alike for her attention to detail and her methodical yet open and honest approach to the hiring process. Kate joined Taylor Harrison in 2006 from a specialist finance recruiter and now has over 30 years’ experience in executive search and interim management.

Matthew joined Taylor Harrison in early 2016 bringing with him a wealth of experience through previously held roles in insurance, banking and executive search. Following a successful early career he went on to run his own consultancy, focusing on the recruitment of actuarial and compliance personnel for insurance companies globally.
Matthew has a particular focus on senior level executive search and interim management for London Market and retail insurers. He works on mandates covering risk, compliance and audit roles with a specific interest in working with senior level actuaries.
His deep understanding of the international insurance market and risk governance has seen him deliver on a wide range of board, functional and product assignments and his strong partnership with clients enables him to help them build first class business and leadership teams.

A founder member of Taylor Harrison, Carl has over 35 years’ experience in general business management, marketing and sales.
Supported by a small team, he is responsible for setting up and maintaining all of the company’s ‘back-office’ systems and processes, overseeing all financial, legal and commercial matters, ensuring that the company meets its statutory and contractual obligations, and that all necessary infrastructure is in place and operating effectively including human resources.
In addition Carl is responsible for contract negotiation, bid preparation, managing the firm’s interim contractor book and ensuring that all company documentation templates are up-to-date and accurate.

Head of IT and Data
Prior to joining Taylor Harrison in 2010 Nicola was an information communications systems specialist in the Royal Navy and is vetted and security cleared to the highest level.
Nicola is responsible for the maintenance, monitoring and ongoing development of Taylor Harrison’s database. She provides extensive assistance to, and actively engages with, the Search Consultants in the early stages of each assignment, ensuring that the quality of research information is accurate and complete. Her role includes management of the software itself, retaining communications channels with key supplier contacts, and ensuring that legacy data is dealt with appropriately.
In addition Nicola has day-to-day responsibility for maintaining and improving the IT infrastructure at Taylor Harrison.

Samantha has been with the company since 2003 and is highly respected by clients and candidates alike for her efficient and friendly management of much of the business’ day to day affairs.
Her responsibilities include diary management, arranging client and candidate meetings and interviews, preparation of all forms of company documentation, co-ordination of all referencing and vetting – particularly for interim candidates, timesheet and invoice processing, supplier management, booking travel arrangements and assisting the Finance Director with many other ‘back-office’ functions.
In addition to her time with Taylor Harrison, Samantha has experience within the banking and insurance industry as well as commercial aviation.
