Our client, a leading European financial group in the process of building a UK bank offering, are looking to now strengthen their Executive team with the appointment of a Director of Compliance to report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. You will be responsible for creating a robust compliance function and leading the development and implementation of the compliance agenda for the organisation, guiding, and advising the business strategically through the changing regulatory landscape.
The role presents an opportunity for a creative, motivated, and ‘hands-on’ individual to set their own compliance blueprint and drive a best-in-class approach. Sitting as the regulatory lens for the organisation you will ensure senior stakeholders are aware of and prepared for all regulatory developments and that all requirements are managed appropriately.
A confident, charismatic leader with strong personal credibility and influencing skills is sought to effectively partner with and align colleagues and business needs. You will be a highly experienced compliance professional and will need to evidence a strong customer ethos and knowledge and experience of banking and/or payments processing. Previous experience of working in a challenger or start-up environment is preferable although not essential.
